"The aircraft is performing well with all our goals met or exceeded. The airframe and engine combination has been better than expected. I am looking forward to the finish of my 40 hours endurance testing so I can go further afield. The rate and angle of climb are something else! This aircraft was built from plans and the engine from William Wynne's book."

Turbine power on the STOL CH 701

Scott Ehni of Trinity, Texas, recently first flew his STOL CH 701 aircraft equipped with a custom turbine engine installation using a Garrett JFS 100-13A Turboshaft engine.  This is a one-of-a-kind, custom, plans-built STOL constructed by a skilled craftsman.
