STOL CH 701 Light Sport Utility Kit Airplane - Gallery 45

"Just back from a beautiful weekend at the Greenville Maine International Seaplane Fly-In (largest in the world), tons of floatplanes including a DC-3 on amphib floats!  As you can see, I did my best to keep up the Zenair tradition, I beat everyone in the TO contest (including the U/L's, experimentals and assorted Aroncas, Taylorcrafts, etc. up to 120 hp).  When the announcer asked if anyone else (like the Super Cubs or Huskys) wanted to take me on, there were no takers! !  It was great fun hob-knobbing with the big boys. There were also some experimentals - a bunch of us little guys stayed at the Birches cottages 20 miles north of Greenville on Moosehead Lake.  We were treated to a spectacular display of northern lights (which reflected in the smooth lake) on Saturday night. Life is good!"
