STOL CH 801 Rear Fuselage Assembly
Laying out the STOL CH 801 fuselage bottom skin (precut and drilled) and attaching the side longerons.
Positioning the stiffeners to the pre-drilled fuselage bottom skin and the rear bulkheads.
Positioning the stiffeners to the pre-drilled and cut fuselage side and to skins.
Positioning the fuselages side to the fuselage bottom.
Positioning the fuselages side to the fuselage bottom - view from the rear.
The rear fuselage assembly with the bottom, top and side skins installaled.
STOL CH 801 Forward Fuselage Assembly
The rear fuselage assembly with the forward fuselage bottom longerons in place.
Attaching the lower cabin frame assembly to the rear fuselage (in the kit, the lower cabin frame assembly is supplied factory-riveted, ready to position).
Attaching the cabin back wall to the rear fuselage, and cutting out the large bottom access panel.
Installing the flaperon control under the rear seat.
Completing the cabin floor, installing the control stick torque tube.
Completing the firewall assembly.
Positioning the firewall assembly to the cabin.
Positioning the welded cabin frame to the fuselage assembly.
Positioning the instrument panel to the cabin.
Positioning and installing the top welded steel cabin frame assembly and the forward fuselage skins.
Installing the control system in the fuselage. (Notice the open access door on the bottom of the rear fuselage).
Installing the rear seat.
Installing brakes and control system.
Control system detail.
Completing the cabin.
Installing the main gear spring to the bottom cabin frame.
Installing the nosegear assembly to the firewall.
