The popular Lycoming O-360 (180-hp) engine is the standard
powerplant for the STOL CH 801, with a full firewall-forward installation kit available.
The XP 360 engine from Superior Air
Parts is a popular non-certified alternative to the Lycoming
engine, and utilizes the same
firewall-forward accessories.
