AGRINION, GREECE: 
The Hellenic Aeronautical and Airsports Federation held a national fly-in on the weekend of September 23, 2000, at the Agrinion Aeroclub. During this fly-in the 1st Greek National Microlight race was undertaken. The race layout was a triangle course totaling 90 km and about 45 Km for weight-shift Mircrolights. Points were accumulated based on a combination of navigation skills, time, and a spot-landing finish.

The race was won by Chip W. Erwin of the Czech Republic. Mr. Erwin flew a ZODIAC CH 601 in the race along with the Greek owner of the aircraft, Mr. George Orfanos. After completing the race with the ZODIAC, Mr. Erwin re-entered the race with another aircraft, a STOL CH 701 amphibious model and placed third along with the owner of the new aircraft, Mr. Leo Vardas.
