Zenair
has developed the STOL CH 701 ULM specifically for the
European market, where light aircraft rules restrict the gross weight to 450
kg. (992 lbs.). Selected lighter materials (including the wheels and
brakes) will provide a basic empty weight of 265 kg. (with Rotax 912
engine). The European STOL CH 701 ULM
kit pricing reflects changes to the kit for the lighter (and slightly
costlier) kit components.
The standard STOL CH 701 ULM kits,
manufactured by Zenith
Aircraft in the United States, are being distributed across Europe from Zenair
Europe (Belgium/France) and established Zenair
dealers. The European STOL CH 701 ULM
kit pricing reflects changes to the kit for the lighter (and slightly
costlier) kit components.

| The standard
STOL CH 701 ULM kit comes with all kit parts to build the airframe: The
complete kit includes the factory riveted wing spars, pre-formed
sheet-metal parts (ribs, skins, etc.), factory-welded parts, landing
gear and wheels, standard fuel system (dual wing tanks), controls, and
hardware required for assembly. See equipment list for details. Zenair
has developed the STOL CH 701 ULM version specifically for the
European market, where light aircraft rules restrict the gross weight to 450
kg. (992 lbs.). Not
included in the airframe kit: firewall-forward powerplant and
instruments packages, paint, and upholstery. The kit price includes the
lightweight European All-Terrain Gear with hydraulic disk brakes, the formed plexiglass
windshield, “swing-up” doors, and large rear baggage

701 kit now includes many CNC pre-cut and

CH 701 ULM: "100%" AIRFRAME SUPER QUICK- BUILD KIT |
|
The
factory assembled 100% airframe kit includes all parts
from the 49% kit: The wings are 99% finished. Fuel tanks
are installed, control system cables are installed, the
wires for lights are installed, and the flaperons are
fitted. Tail sections are 99% finished, with elevator trim
tab installed. Fuselage aluminum is 99% complete. Control
cables are installed, center "Y" stick installed
with fittings, rudder/steering pedals installed. Wings and
tail sections have been fitted to the fuselage. Control
cables connected and tested with control system installed.
The Drawings and Manual are included. Order the
"Bubble Door Option Kit" for a ready to install
door. Not included in the airframe kit: powerplant and
instruments packages, paint, and upholstery.
100% Airframe Kit delivery point: Europe. Contact your local representative for applicable

intended to meet the 51% rule for amateur-built aircraft
in the U.S. (it represents a higher level of completion
